Kitchen Remodel

Remodeling is huge right now in home updates. Especially here in Colorado, the housing market is growing at a rapid pace. That gives many people incentives to remodel spaces in their home that add the most value. Kitchen remodeling is a great idea when selling your home or when moving into a home. The kitchen is obviously one of the most used spaces in a home. It is a good idea to update finishes, appliances, and plumbing fixtures. If a homeowner has been in their home for many years and they want an update, kitchens are a great place to start. Kitchens can definitely age over time and one kitchen does not fit all. Many are remodeled with a different layout to fit the family’s needs. If you have decided kitchen remodeling is the best fit for you, where do you begin?

Please read the following tips BEFORE doing anything on your kitchen remodel. As interior designers, we have seen design mistakes just from lack of planning. Really think about the things you want in your dream kitchen. Maybe all of your wants can’t come true but list them anyway, you may be surprised! Come up with a budget that you can be comfortable with. Many times clients say that they don’t have budget in mind, but even a flexible budget helps everyone stay on the same page. Be realistic about a remodel timeline. Are you thinking of moving walls, ripping up flooring, or scraping popcorn ceiling? Keep in mind that certain aspects of remodeling take longer than others. Plan accordingly so that you know how long you won’t be able to use your kitchen at home. As interior design professionals, these are all things we can work with you on and walk you through.

There is a lot more to interior design than just creativity and colors. We have the background, training, and experience to manage and oversee a homeowner’s vision from start to finish.
